ABOUT THE PROJECT
Digital Flyer Design
Client Save on Foods • Project Type Digital Design • Role Visual Designer • While Employed at Flipp
Save-On-Foods is a chain of supermarkets located across Western Canada, owned by the Pattison Food Group. The stores carry both standard brands and private label brands, such as Western Family and Only Goodness. At Flipp, one of the company's purposes is to help retailers embrace a digital transformation and bring a digital-first approach to every experience. The company then developed a series of wireframes and a component library to pitch one of the services offered by Flipp.
On this project, my role was to understand the retailer's branding and goals and generate different wireframes and flyer mocks to demonstrate how the Save-On-Foods flyer could be reproduced with a digital-first mindset.
Current Flyer Layout

Some of the challenges on the current Save-On-Foods flyer are the lack of a grid system, which impacts directly the mobile user experience, excessive elements which make the pages cluttered and the absence of a hierarchy and design consistency on the layout.
